Hiking Reward
Day 3, after leaving early from Tamarack Lake and hiking through the early morning. We traversed through granite trails and pine forest to come to this early morning reward – Lake Aloha
Morning Breaks on Tamarack Lake
Early hiking has its advantages, no mosquitoes, less crowds and out of the heat of the day. The best part is the view as morning breaks on Tamarack Lake.
Before Dawn
No sleeping in on this trip (Day 3). We rise before dawn and hit the trail just before 5:00AM .
Best Seat in the House
This was the best seat in the house. If I could only have this view every day.
Rolling In Fast
This photo is only the 2 shots away from yesterday’s photo. The storm cloud were moving in fast during these shots.
Another Storm Coming
End of the second day and we had the best views. That’s Echo Lake in the distance. Another storm was coming in, we could hear the thunder towards the South.
Canyon Near Little Round Top
After one night at Showers Lake, we hiked through this canyon near Little Round Top.
Good Morning
Sunrise over Waterhouse Peak from a rock outcropping near Showers Lake.
Waiting For the Storm
End of Day 1 and we were waiting for the storm to roll in. The setting sun lightens up Waterhouse Peak and the storm forms in the distance.
Exploring
Day 1 at Showers Lake. After a quick thunderstorm, I had the chance to go exploring around the lake. Cool boulders to scramble around.
