untitled-085I was looking at this shot thinking, “yeah, they’re 3 items in here that could stand alone” (rule of 3rds) So, I cropped the photo above and tested the theory into foreground, mid and background. (Ok, maybe a little work with the background shot) 😉

Moss & Leaves

untitled-030Usually in the Winter, I think of everything as white with brown trees. The drought and recent rains have added some color back into the nature palate. I was really enjoying the green through the forest on the valley floor.

Path Along the Merced

Posted on Updated on

untitled-108-2I parked my car at Fern Spring and went down to the bank of the Merced River. There is an old path that runs between the roadway and the river until you get to the meadow. I loved how the moss was growing over the rocks and up the trees. It provided a nice contrast to the photo.
