Out of the Granite
Went exploring around Meyers (near South Lake Tahoe) and these tree limbs were protruding from the granite.
Honoring The Fallen
Taken last Fall, my friend Gail plays Taps at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. Gail was also of member of our Armed Forces – 14th Army Band (WAC).
Lunch Break
Lunch Break near Ward Creek. Food always seems to taste better after a long hike and beautiful surroundings.
Trail to Echo Lake
It was morning and we needed to get to Echo Lake to meet the shuttle to our next stop. This trail runs along Lake Aloha.
Break in the Desolation Wilderness
Another photo from the 2011 TRTA Thru-Hike. We were taking a break in Desolation Wilderness and getting our bearings. It looks like Roger is admiring the view but he was really trying to phone home to ‘check-in’.
Great Spot To Pitch A Tent
I’ll be a Trail Angel for the Tahoe Rim Trail Association in the Fall. I decided to revisit some of my photos from my Thru-Hike in 2011. It was 165+ miles in 2 weeks and at the end of each day, there was a vista with a great view!
