Breakers
I think I took about 200 photos of the breaking waves. It was chaotic (timing the breakers so I didn’t get wet) and peaceful at the same time (only person out there)
Sea Anemone Rock
At first glance (see yesterday’s photo) I thought this was a rock covered in barnacles. I moved closer to it and realized that the rock was covered with small sea anemones.
Receding Water
I used the neutral density filter to capture the receding water in the tide pool.
Storm Brewing
Sun setting and the dark clouds coming in for another round of rain.
Break in the Storm
It’s been raining here on the West Coast. After work, I drove down the coast to see if I could get a break during the storms and snap some cool shots. This was about 30 minutes before sunset and the clouds let up a bit to add some light to the shore. The stormy clouds still packed with rain.
Montara State Beach – CA
Montara State Beach, California
Went out to Montara State Beach the other day to try out my new Hoya Pro 1D ND x64. I like the results of this neutral density filter . On a bright day, this filter reduces the shot 6 stops (for you camera geeks)
Walkway to Point Bonita Lighthouse
Got to Pt Bonita Lighthouse trail a little bit after closing. Nobody was around and I was able to take this shot just before sunset.
