Colorful Rock Formations
On a dusty road near Monitor Pass I found this colorful outcrop of rock formations.
Shaped by the Tides
About an hour South of San Francisco, I found this beach. Over time the tides have made these pock marks in the rocks.
Out of the Granite
Went exploring around Meyers (near South Lake Tahoe) and these tree limbs were protruding from the granite.
Cool Spot in the Slot
This is near Mono Lake, CA. Went out there last fall with the pups. Here’s my dog resting in one of the cool slots
Marked by Time
Walking along the coast, in Pescadero there were these cool rocks eroded by the tide.
Tide Pool
This tide pool was full of hermit crabs, kelp and small sea anemones. I watched the lil’ orange hermit crab crawl and get swept around by the tide pool.
Sea Anemone Rock
At first glance (see yesterday’s photo) I thought this was a rock covered in barnacles. I moved closer to it and realized that the rock was covered with small sea anemones.
