Beach Day
It’s been pretty warm where I live. Just the kind of weather that calls for a “Beach Day”
Lake Alpine Spring Thaw
The road to Ebbetts Pass had opened up and I decided to get up early and drive up to Alpine Lake to catch the sun rise. It was cloudy and overcast. I wasn’t able to get the sun rise. But, I could hear water flowing fast and there was this waterfall near the cabins at Alpine Lake.

I cropped a few of the photos to zoom in on the breaking waves against the rocks. It created a fun series of images.
Break in the Storm
It’s been raining here on the West Coast. After work, I drove down the coast to see if I could get a break during the storms and snap some cool shots. This was about 30 minutes before sunset and the clouds let up a bit to add some light to the shore. The stormy clouds still packed with rain.
Face in the Falls
Reviewing my photos from Yosemite earlier this month, I saw this photo and the boulder looked like a face. Somehow, it reminded me of one of those long days when you just need to dunk your head under some cool water.
