Merced River views

Drove into Yosemite Valley last weekend for a quick overnight stay. Played tourist and walked and drove to all the well known spots. This view from the Merced River looking towards El Captain never disappoints me.

Standing out in a crowd

In a field of yellow Coreopsis, these bluish purple blooms of larkspur stood out to me. Vibrant against all the yellows surrounding it. Equally stunning and beautiful, standing out in the crowd.

Canyonlands – Utah

First day in the Canyonlands area. Spend the entire day hiking all over buttes and mesas! We scrambled on slickrock and scree and found amazing views and historical finds around every bend.

Night in Arches National Park

The full moon was a few nights before but it still provided great lighting in the park.

You may notice the faint light on Balance Rock. It was from two other photographers who couldn’t find their cameras set-ups in the dark .
Called it a night at Balance Rock and headed back to Moab. Decided to stop the car and take a few shots and these were the results
It was so dark out, I had no idea that there were scattered clouds in the distance.
I was sitting on the ground for this photo and it was so quiet. I just sat there listening…

Exploring Arches National Park

Stayed in Moab, Utah a few days and was able to explore Arches National Park. Amazing sandstone carved arches and landscape. We also found some petroglyphs on our hike.
