Wintery Willows
Fresh snow covers these roadside willows to create a interesting shot.
Stacked
Came across of bunch of cairns in the forest last weekend. I suspected that this one had fallen over in the recent storm so I stacked a few rocks on top again for the next lucky traveler.
Forest Green
Went for a walk in the forest and this lichen’s color stood out against this old stump.
Silver Lake and Thunder Mountain
Drove into Tahoe on highway 88 last Saturday morning. We came around a bend to this beautiful view of Silver Lake with the reflection of trees in the water and a snow capped Thunder Mountain.
Covered in Snow
The recent bad weather brought much needed rain and snow to the Tahoe basin. You can see the amount of snow that covers this pine bough.
Natural Flocking
On our way to Tahoe this past weekend, we stopped at Shot Rock and had our first opportunity to enjoy the 1st snow fall of the season. I loved the natural flocking on these old junipers.
Blue Sky over Junipers
We’re expecting a major storm front in Northern California. I thought I’d post a recent photo from October to offset the cloudy stormy weather.
Avalanche Control
Up near the Sentinels near Kirkwood ski resort are several wind breaks install for avalanche control.
Howwwl
I took this photo a few months ago of the full moon over High Meadow in South Lake Tahoe.
