Natural Flocking
On our way to Tahoe this past weekend, we stopped at Shot Rock and had our first opportunity to enjoy the 1st snow fall of the season. I loved the natural flocking on these old junipers.
Rain is coming
Recent weather has me cooped up inside and a chance to revisit some photos from the past months. This was taken in late September at Alpine Lake in California. The rain was coming in and I snapped a few shots before putting the camera away for protection. As you can see from the water lines on the boulder, it’s much needed.
Blue Sky over Junipers
We’re expecting a major storm front in Northern California. I thought I’d post a recent photo from October to offset the cloudy stormy weather.
Flowing Fall Color
Taken a few years ago, on one of our ‘fall peep’ hunts. These aspens appear in full fall color flowing down the mountain side along the Eastern Sierras.
Walking Path
I thought I had lost these photos from my DC trip last year. Here’s a walking path between the Pioneer Farm to the Ox Pen at Mt. Vernon.
Fall in Calaveras
Morning hike on the Arnold Rim Trail. We started kind of early so when we approached this tree on the trail it was shady. On the way back to the car, the morning sun lit up the old oak tree and its fall color.
Fungus
Early morning hike on the Arnold Rim Trail and I spied these fungi on a fallen oak stump.
Go Climb a Rock
Obviously, it’s taken a long time for this tree to grow over this rock but looking at it reminded me of an old tagline “Go Climb A Rock” when I was growing up.
