Rainbow Pool

0064 day holiday weekend and I had the time to explore this place for the first time. Rainbow Pool is just off Hwy 120 outside of Groveland, CA. I was pleasantly surprised on how much water was flowing from this waterfall. This is definitely a new spot to explore more this coming year.

Moss Covered Boulders

Junipers Watching Half Dome

_MG_3785In Yosemite there can be so many crowds milling around to get a view of iconic Half Dome. I found a spot where there are few people and a different angle. These junipers reminded me of people standing around just looking at the great view.

Small Pool at River’s Edge

_MG_3720With the water so low in the river, boulders appear when normally underwater. I was able to capture reflections in the pools along the river.

Erratic Boulders

untitled-171-2Geology . noting or pertaining to a boulder or the like carried by glacial ice and deposited some distance from its place of origin. Taken a few years ago, these erratic boulders can be found just above Nevada Falls.
