Tree
Out of the Granite
Went exploring around Meyers (near South Lake Tahoe) and these tree limbs were protruding from the granite.
Fallen
I took this shot last Fall at Crater of the Moon in Idaho. This fallen tree had probably stood for a long time. It probably was anchored for another few years before it finally toppled. But, even after it fell it made for a good shot.
That’s a BIG Dogwood
In our hunt for Spring flowers, we found this Dogwood tree in bloom. The blossoms were huge!
Oak In The Distance
Driving home, I took a little used road to get to the highway. I spotted this oak in the distance and thought it would make a cool shot.
Perched On An Aspen
There are hummingbirds flying around the yard and I have been trying to capture them (on camera). They have been too fast or I’m just too impatience. This little guy needed a rest and posed on an aspen branch.
Maple and Shadow
There’s a young Japanese Maple in my sister’s backyard. I love the color and shape of this tree. The light from the morning brighten the tree and created additional depth with the shadows.
Dogwood
Spring has finally arrived (still need rain in California) but we’re enjoying the colors of Spring. This is a red dogwood bloom.
New Growth & Old Reflections
Taken from the bridge in Yosemite Valley. The new growth from the tree overhanging the Merced River and reflections of trees in the water
Another Point of View
Same old tree trunk at Cascade Falls, just another angle. As a photographer, sometimes even if you move 5 feet away, the photo becomes something totally different. I don’t know why but I thought this old tree trunk was very interesting. Maybe it was the moisture and the drier part of the trunk that added depth…
