002Went exploring around Meyers (near South Lake Tahoe) and these tree limbs were protruding from the granite.

untitled-061I took this shot last Fall at Crater of the Moon in Idaho. This fallen tree had probably stood for a long time. It probably was anchored for another few years before it finally toppled. But, even after it fell it made for a good shot.

Oak In The Distance

Perched On An Aspen

079There are hummingbirds flying around the yard and I have been trying to capture them (on camera). They have been too fast or I’m just too impatience. This little guy needed a rest and posed on an aspen branch.

Maple and Shadow

005There’s a young Japanese Maple in my sister’s backyard. I love the color and shape of this tree. The light from the morning brighten the tree and created additional depth with the shadows.

Another Point of View

untitled-249Same old tree trunk at Cascade Falls, just another angle. As a photographer, sometimes even if you move 5 feet away, the photo becomes something totally different. I don’t know why but I thought this old tree trunk was very interesting. Maybe it was the moisture and the drier part of the trunk that added depth…
