Nature’s Intricate Design
Nature is pretty amazing! Intricate design on this dragonfly that goes from translucent to flaming orange. Functional and beautiful in one shot
Sepia – Dragonfly
The dragonflies have returned to my sister’s backyard. An experiment with my camera produced this dragonfly in Sepia.
Did you know that Sepia is a reddish-brown color, named after the rich brown pigment derived from the ink sac of the common cuttlefish Sepia.
Bonsai Rock – Lake Tahoe
On an overcast day, I scrambled down to this cove and took photos at a place called Bonsai Rock.
Junipers Watching Half Dome
In Yosemite there can be so many crowds milling around to get a view of iconic Half Dome. I found a spot where there are few people and a different angle. These junipers reminded me of people standing around just looking at the great view.
Small Pool at River’s Edge
Small pools form in the slick rock along the edge of the Toulumne.
River Reflections
With the water so low in the river, boulders appear when normally underwater. I was able to capture reflections in the pools along the river.
Along the Tuolumne River
Even in a low water year the Tuolumne is still a impressive sight.
Nature’s Fireworks
Happy 4th of July ~ Enjoy the great outdoors. Milky Way rising above Yosemite at Olmsted Point.
Beach Day
Just another day at the beach for these young elephant seals. These photos were taken at Piedras Blancas Elephant Seal Rookery.
